- SCEK에서 ‘콜오브듀티: 모던 워페어 3(Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® 3)’ 등 액티비전 소프트웨어 타이틀 국내 유통 예정

 

소니컴퓨터엔터테인먼트코리아 (SCEK, 대표: 카와우치 시로, www.PlayStation.co.kr)는 콜오브듀티(Call of Duty®) 등의 전 세계적인 히트 시리즈를 개발한 게임 개발사 액티비전(Activision Publishing, Inc.)과 한국 내에서의 소프트웨어 퍼블리싱 계약을 체결했다.

 

이에 따라 액티비전에서 올해 출시될 ‘콜오브듀티: 모던워페어3(Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® 3)’, ‘미블의 X-MEN™: Destiny’, ‘SPIDER MAN™: Edge of Time’ 등의 타이틀은 SCEK에서 직접 유통할 예정이다.

 

이 가운데 ‘콜오브듀티 시리즈’는 세계적으로 높은 인기를 얻고 있는 대표적인 FPS 시리즈로, 2010년 발매된 ‘콜오브듀티: 블랙옵스(Call of Duty®: Black Ops)’가 전 세계 엔터테인먼트 분야 최고의 오프닝 매출 기록을 세운 바 있다. 이전의 엔터테인먼트 분야 오프닝 기록 역시 2009년에 출시된 전작 ‘콜오브듀티: 모던워페어2(Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® 2)’가 보유하고 있다. 특히, ‘콜오브듀티: 블랙옵스(Call of Duty®: Black Ops)’는 시장조사기관인 NPD에 따르면 미국에서만 1,370만장이 판매되며 ‘미국 역사상 가장 많이 팔린 게임’ 1위에 등극한 바 있다.
